Tina Turner...rock godess. What a strut she had.
The first black woman I fell in love with...though Diana Ross possibly missed out on my love.

Tina Turner, apart from being absolutely brilliant, is one of the few stars I have a personal story about.
She played at the NEC when I was working on the concerts there, and her record company were making a film of the tour. They didn't want any security people visible in the film -possibly for continuity, but more likely because it would spoil the look of the film (security people not being famously photogenic). All of us working in the pit that night were told we needed to keep our heads below the level of the pit wall - about chest height - so that we wouldn't spoil the film. We were given chairs to sit on so we didn't need to spend the evening crouching down. When you're sitting on a chair between the stage and the pit wall, the only direction you can really look is upwards.
I spent two hours looking up Tina Turner's skirt, and they paid me to do it. 😁
For the record, her famously long legs looked absolutely endless from that angle.
