Reported car problem at 11.30am. Given ETA of up to 4 hours. Fair enough. Half-term, lots of people heading down this way blah blah blah.
FIVE AND A HALF F*CKING HOURS LATER still no sign of the F*CKING RAC.
Phone them up. New ETA - 10pm! Or else they could come first thing in the morning.
I chose the latter.
We'll see.
So I missed Tinny winning 55-21 away from home. Of course the F*CKING car couldn't break down on the day we lost 81-3, could it, FFS?

That's ridiculous. I don't know what to say.
If you complain they may get to you a bit quicker next time, but whether that's true or not I'd definitely be making my views known

Trouble is you're always banging your head against a brick wall. Won't be forking out £300 to them next year. |

Is it an insurance related recovery mob...I had a similar experience with Carols...nowhere near as bad though. Better tp pay a little more with a recognised lot like the RAC or AA. |

Well I have done already on the phone. Trouble is you're always banging your head against a brick wall. Won't be forking out £300 to them next year. Is it an insurance related recovery mob...I had a similar experience with Carols...nowhere near as bad though. Better tp pay a little more with a recognised lot like the RAC or AA. This IS the RAC TOM! I've just had a text at 6am to tell me they'll be with me in 40 minutes. |

So, I waited until 7.10 and then phoned the patrolman to see what the problem was. He said he'd had the job taken off him and that someone would be with me between 7.30 and 8.30. When I made it clear that a) I hadn't been informed of this and b) this was yet another broken promise, he said he'd phone the office for me and ring me back. He did ring me back and he's been reinstated and will be here at about 7.45.

Arrived at 7.45. Found a split hose. Did temporary repair.

That is disgraceful! I am with Start Rescue. They use local independent companies. Certainly no complaints from me and it’s only £43 a year. My car is 9 years old so it’s not a new one either

Oml this is disgraceful, why would they message you at 6am on a Sunday and then take it off the machanic?  ? RAC expect their drivers to be available for 7am until 10pm & then have night machanics, but they only get paid for the jobs they go out to. Someone we know in Babbacombe, (well her son), has to sit & wait for jobs to come up, he went back to working in a garage because it didn’t bring in a proper wage. |
