About 20 years ago the council replaced the slate tiled roofs with a plastic tiles.
A house at the back of ours is having this roof replaced. Did they know the lifespan of these tiles and that they may need replacing so soon.
The slate roof on our house is getting on for 100 years old and still serviceable ( me touching the nearest piece of wood).
On the face of it, it would appear to be a waste of money or at best not value for money.
