We have a light sprinkling here. Its snowing now but we are hoping it will turn to rain in the next hour of so. We have to go out to the Pharmacy and the library this morning and to get down to basecamp at the chateau is treacherous when its wet or icy.

Even we've got a smattering of snow this morning. Henry the Cat was completely perplexed - after moaning at us for an hour to let him out, he came straight back in again.
Then he moaned about being let out again almost immediately, the indecisive little tw*t!

Rosie cries at the back door to be let out - even though she has a perfectly good cat flap to use she would still rather go out of the door. Maybe we are the dumb ones for pandering to her and opening the door?

Maybe we are the dumb ones for pandering to her and opening the door? We refuse to have a cat flap because we don't want dead birds and rodents, or even live birds and rodents in the house. Henry is a prodigious hunter and it's bad enough having to clear away dead pigeons, robins, blackbirds, sparrows, mice, voles and feckin rabbits from the car port without inviting the little bugger to bring them into the bloody sitting room.

Monty the rat killer was the same. We had a cat flap that was exit only. He had to mee-ow to get back in so we could make sure he wasn't bringing a present back in with him.
Rosie is too fat to kill anything. She caught a blue tit once but only because it flew into the conservatory window and knocked itself out!

We decided we'd go and have a coffee up at Haldon as it was sunny, but by the time Sarah got herself ready it had started to snow again. We got as far as the Golf Club and decided to turn back - just as well we did, as in the next half-hour there were several accidents between the Golf Club and the main road to Exeter.

Wow! Sorry you missed your trip but, every cloud and all that, you missed the accidents to

Mad snow overnight which stopped just in time to make Jayne panic about whether to close the school.
The local high school was closed, but we all know what high school teachers are like 🤣
In the end we only had two members of staff missing, and one of those turned up at 2:15 🙄
Lots of rain today which has helped the snow situation a bit, but more snow tonight.
I love it, Jayne hates it
