We went shopping in St Affrique yesterday, Wednesday.
It was -6C when we set off. All of the snow has disappeared down here in the valley but when we went up onto the plateau to Montclar there was still a lot of snow around. We could see across to the Lacaune Mountains which are at a similar altitude and it was completely white over which is usual. The snow could stay up there for a couple of months yet.
It was a pleasant day. There was a bit of warmth in the sun and 8C so I only needed a jumper although Chrissie had a thick coat on.
