Even thought it’s only Wednesday and I still have two days at work…
Friday night. Sister arriving with her ‘George’ aka Logan. Meet up with mulv, watch Blues Saturday. Breakfast at somewhere fast foody (Maccy Dees, local cafe etc). Say bye to visitors. Out in town to meet up with JBs workmate n wife for a small pub crawl round Brum Saturday night. Say bye to aforementioned peeps Sunday. Down the Erdington Litter Buster allotment for a carry on of the ‘shed building’session
Enjoy everyone. Whatever you are doing.

"Meet up with mulv, watch Blues" Don't forget my season ticket! Luckily I’ve already put them in my bag as it’s a distinct possibility Today I left my work mobile at home, so had to go back for it. Then left my big coat at work, so had to go back for it. THEN! when I got back home I got a message to say I’d left my work phone charger at work. I didn’t go back for it

"Meet up with mulv, watch Blues" Don't forget my season ticket! Are you staying over in Brum or running back to New St to catch the last train back?

Electric scooter to New St to get the 21:54 train to Shrewsbury. After the debacle of Jayne having to pick me up in Shrewsbury at 1am I'm not trusting the night trains until they're nationalised.
I'll collect Tom and Elanor on the way through as well.

Friday... On our trip to St Affrique I put a load of lengths of timber on the car roof bars, enough to finish the stud wall in the extension. So I will carry on with that. I will run out of screws though as none of the DIY sheds had them so this morning I need to get a few boxes on line. Beef Tortilla's for tea and an early night. Watch the Blues on line in bed if the link works. I have been watching the cricket this morning from India so hopefully it should work. socceronline.me/birmingham-city-vs-west-bromwich-albion-streamSaturday... Do what I can on the stud wall until the screws run out. Might start to tidy the garden. Rugby in the afternoon and evening if I can find a channel. We have lost all the BBC channels since they went HD this week. Chicken Dhansak with steamed rice for tea. Sunday... Start work on a false ceiling in the stairwell down to the cellar. Chrissie is going to resume house hunting on the internet. Rugby in the evening. I would not be at all surprised if Italy turn over England who were shocking against the Scots. Pork Echines in Breadcrumbs with baked potato's for tea. Have a good one everybody.

I'm not going to bore you all with the same old stuff.
Suffice to say that rugby is at home to Crediton, and food will include Jägerschnitzel tonight and a chicken and fig tagine tomorrow.
Apart from that, the same old stuff that the country's most boring couple usually do at the weekend.

I love reading your food menus on Weekend plans We pack so much into our weekends as we both work full time and so we only have the weekend to do stuff. You can sit by the river/sea/estuary (delete as appropriate) any time during the week. If we had a week plans thread I'm positive mine would be the most boring of the lot

If we had a week plans thread I'm positive mine would be the most boring of the lot It wasn't a dig at those of you who have interesting things to do. It was just a statement of fact that we don't do anything different from one weekend to the next. I just got a bit fed up of telling you all that on Friday mornings we go to Widecombe, on Saturday afternoons I watch rugby and on Sundays I write rugby reports and listen to Sounds of the 70s. And yet I've just done it again. We had a takeaway on Wednesday evening, and while it was cooking I went and had a pint in Dicey's - it was the first time I'd been in a pub since before Christmas and the second time since October.

I get very jealous of your menus - is Jaegerschnitzel (I'm on the desktop and can't do umlauts on a proper keyboard) the one with the sauce or the breadcrumbs? I think it's the former, isn't it? And the breadcrumb one is Wienerschnitzel.

I get jealous of Keith's menus as well. I've come to cooking late and I've got a lot of catching uo to do

And the breadcrumb one is Wienerschnitzel. It's both. The sauce is mushroom based, but has onion, thyme, parsley, beef stock, tomato puree, crème fraîche and balsamic vinegar. You have to use Num Lock+Alt+ 129 for ü, 132 for ä, 148 for ö and 225 for ß. You can do all of the French accents as well, and the Spanish upside down punctuation.
