We were watching one of those sea rescue lifeboat programmes last night, and they featured Elie in one of the rescues. Looks a nice place.

Elie is lovely, in fact it's stunning, but there isn't enough in Elie and Earlsferry to make us want to live there.
No ordinary grocery shop (there's a deli), no post office nothing. The two pubs are as different as could be. The Station Buffet* is a proper pub with decent beer and full of locals, The Ship is now a gastro pub attached to a restaurant, but is right on the beach. I love them both.
I do love Elie, but I'd choose Pittenweem.
*There is no longer a station, or indeed a railway line. Even when there was, the Station Buffet was nowhere near it. 😁
