Obviously if that's what floats your boat then fine. But if my boat were a barge, I wouldn't touch that drink with the pole.
I'm proud to say that the last four trips we've made to coffee shops, each and every one of them is a) independent, and b) local. Starbucks can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.
Yup. I’d like to say I agree 100% but I’m such a freebie whore. At our new hub in Stephenson Street in town we have a subsidised Costa coffe and also, if you buy eight coffees you get the next one free (think GI bro) and I actually like a cappuccino from Costa.
However. Won’t be my problem from 16th March (was 17th but just booked that as a/l)

Teign Bean, who have outlets on the sea front in Tinny, in a hut at Starcross, in a cycle hire shop in Dawlish Warren and in a van on Haldon (which is our favourite) operate the same 9 for 8 card scheme - over the past 18 months I must have racked up 10+ freebies easily!
Although I professed a preference for independent coffee outlets, if I'm in a city centre (watch out for news regarding this tomorrow!) I'll always go for Costa over Starbucks, and Caffè Nero over Costa.
For me its Nescafe or Kenco instant only, with no sugar and powdered milk.
I only have one cup of coffee a day then it's Green Tea until the bar opens around 4.00pm. Green Tea really flushes the system out. Or my bladder is weakening with age.
If I drink strong coffee I get headaches and a bad stomach. When I worked with the Yanks at Mildenhall and Lakenheath Air Bases the coffee was flown in with other stuff such as confectionary specially for the squaddies. That coffee was evil and would keep you awake for days which was probably the plan.
We have one of those pod things...not too bad, I like the strong one, black with a little brown sugar...I rarely have coffee out and about, except coffeee machines in factories, the machine tea is a joke.
I am a complete convert to caffeinated coffee. For years I was a decaf drinker. Then I was advised by my dentist to cut down on the amount I drink to prevent teeth staining so I thought. Bugger it. I’m going full fat! So since then it’s Doug Egbert gold twice/three times max and I never drink coffee after midday unless I’m flagging
TOM, have a look at grind.co.uk Their coffee is really good and the pods are 100% compostable. Considering 29,000 used pods go into landfill every minute, that has to be a good thing. (I just worked it out and that's 15,252,840,000 a year)
