We are on our 4th consecutive day of Thunderstorms. The humidity is unbearable. We have had a mixture of torrential rain and hailstones about 10mm dia. Not as bad as the storm last month but our vegetable plants are getting a real battering. Its been rumbling now for about an hour and is just starting to kick off so I am off to pull the phone lines. This is the fifth router we have had since we have been here. They tend to get fried.
Allez ciao.

Not so long back, you were worried about the drought conditions...bet you are not so worried now, or is it the wrong type of rain?

The storm has blown over now but another one is on the way in for this evening.
We are still under water restrictions. Last summer and this winter were that dry that the water companies say that we need weeks of torrential rain to restore the water table. The Mighty Mouse in the village is almost dry which is ridiculous. I haven't seen the Tarn, Sorgue or Rance for a couple of weeks but they were at low summer level then.
We are off to Plaisance tonight for a meal, its our wedding anniversary, and it will be interesting to see how much water is in the Rance.

Its Carols 40th Anniversary on Friday, how she has managed it, I dont know...40 years of putting up with me, she deserves a sainthood.

Thanks for the good wishes. Its only 38 years for us.
We had a super meal at Les Magnolia's in Plaisance. Its was the only resto open in the week in these parts. The storm never materialised. We also bumped into our friend Sylvie, aka Madame Mialet who we had not seen since before Christmas. When we came here everyone were given nicknames and Sylvie became Madame Mialet which is a hamlet between Coupiac and Plaisance where she lives. And the names just sort of stuck.
