We should be in.
We had a disaster on Sunday and it turned our cellar into an indoor paddling pool. The hot water tank which is in the cellar sprung an internal leak and deposited water at line pressure for several hours onto the cellar floor. The water meter must have been working overtime.
We are trying to get a plumber in to fit a new one but no-one is interested. I fitted the last one myself 10 years ago and it crippled us to lift it up above head height then to bolt to the wall. It weighs 48 kilo's dry but the insulation inside is waterlogged and I reckon it weighs closer to 60 kilos so getting the old one off is a problem. I cut the last one into sections with an angle grinder to get it off. Its too much for an old fart like me. If I can get someone in on Friday then we are out I am afraid.
This will be the second replacement we have had in the 18 years we have been here. French rubbish.
If we still have no hot water by then we will be in but we might smell a bit ripe.

Thanks Karoline.
I have just heard that a plumber is coming in on Friday, thank goodness.
It is rather hot down here at the moment so the cellar is almost dry again.
He says it will only take a couple of hours so we should be zooming in the evening.
