My question theme will be Europe. Narrows it down a bit, doesn't it? 😁

Haven't decided yet, but it certainly won't be anything to do with Blues, seeing as no-one seems to know anything about our history!

Sorry all but we are not going to be able to make it.
Big problems with the hot water system. It 8.25pm and Chrissie is about to cook tea.
I'll explain tomorrow when we feel a bit less frazzled.
Have a great evening.

Thanks everyone, we missed taking part in the Zoom but were frazzled. I was looking forward to Wills round on Childrens TV.
The plumber turned up with our new tank at about 11.30am. Took one look at the old one and said "That aint gonna fit". We did a lot of measuring up, and low and behold it didn't without moving the central heating pipes and running a new overflow, but we could not see how. So after much scratching of heads it was decided to change the tank for a different one which meant he had to go to Albi to exchange it for a different manufacturer. He returned about 5.00pm, mounted the new boiler to his lifting tackle, and calamity, he could not get the tank high enough to fit it to the bolts in the wall. Fit bolts lower down and the overflow would again be a problem and all the cold and hot water feed would need changing anyway.
After much faffing about he managed to invert the cradle on his lifting gear and made it with about 5mm to spare. It was now about 7.00pm. It took about an hour to fit the new valve, connect the hot and cold water and electrics and test it all out.
By the time he had cleared up it was turned 8.00 and we still need to eat. We had a couple of quick beers to calm our nerves and had hot dogs for tea.
The good news is this morning we have hot water.......HURRAH!!!!
It was a lot less trouble when I did it myself but there is no way we could get the new tank on the wall. It weighs 49kilo's and is within about 50mm from the ceiling which is 3metres high. It was a struggle before and we are 10 years older.

1. Looby Loo
2. "Daddy Woodentop, Mommy Woodentop, Mr and Mrs Scrubbit, Willie and Jenny the twins and the biggest spotty dog you ever did see". The dog is called Spotty. I think the father was only ever referred to as Daddy Woodentop but could gave been Sam.
3. Loony the Lazoon. Its catchphtase was "Howdy folks".
4 & 5 No idea. I have never seen either of them. I could Google them but that would be cheating wouldn't it?
The name of the Fat Controller was a question a few weeks ago on a quiz show. If I remember it was Welsh. I think all the characters are Welsh. Is it Carwyn? Or was that Ivor the Engine?

Wasn't Zoony's catchphrase "Welcome Ho-ome"?

Mr Scrubbit was called Sam, Daddy Woodentop was always just that.
The Fat Controller is Sir Topham Hatt. None of the characters in Thomas the Tank Engine were Welsh.
However, ALL of the characters in Fireman Sam were Welsh, apart from Bella Lasagna, who owned the café.
I think Mulv is rightabout Zoonie's catchphrase, but he may also have said "Howdy folks!"
7/10 anglais - much better than Su/John or Mulv/Jayne managed.
