This was dreadfully sad.
But I was very moved seeing poor old Dickie Bird break down talking about the loss of his dear friend. I was in tears too for him.

They showed a repeat of the programme where his son interviewed him about his 50 year career. Some very funny moments and a couple of moving ones too. The best thing was that Parky was big enough to admit that he'd made a few mistakes, especially in that interview with Meg Ryan.
Also, we can all be glad that his funeral is all sorted and paid for!

An interviewer who got the best out of his guests without trying to crack jokes or make the whole interview about himself.
A rare talent, and he'll be much missed.
