The Courtyard Bar is where the ales are sold. Lots of other bars selling keg beers and lager (and cider, but only if you've got a dog on a string).
Twelve Welsh breweries, each with five of their beers for sale. For some reason the Tomos Watkins brewery (as indicated in the programme) isn't here, but they've been replace by Big Hand from Chirk, only a few miles from Coedy.
It's Saturday afternoon, and I've tried at least one pint from every brewery, with Jayne having some as well, as follows: Mantle - Rock Steady & Cwrw Teifi Brecon - Brecon Gold & Brecon Orange Mad Dog - Marmalade & Now In A Minute Lucky 7 - Twmpa Mumbles - Mumbles Gold & Mumbles Mile Tudor - Blorenge Felinfoel - Double Dragon & IPA Grey Trees - Diggers Gold Purple Moose - Dark Side Of The Moose Monty's - MPA & Sunshine Glamorgan - Cwrw Gorslas
We also went to see Pete Brown who matches bands to beers (it's a semi-scientific thing with free beer) so had a taste of: Lucky 7 - Onyx Porter (Young Fathers) Felinfoel - Nut Brown Ale (Self Esteem) Grey Trees - Afghan Pale Ale (Confidence Man) Monty's - Monty's Mild (Horace Andy)
So now we've tried all the breweries, I think Monty's is winning, and MPA is the favourite.
Tomorrow is Sunday, and we're driving straight back after the Green Man is burnt, so the Courtyard will be sadly out of bounds ☹️
