Its been blisteringly hot down here all summer.
Today it has hit 40C and we have lost most of the vegetables in the garden despite watering 3 times a day.
Next week it gets hotter still and we are advised to stay indoors. We cannot open the shutters and windows because of the heat and the walls inside are very warm to the touch despite them being 700mm thick solid stone.
Its blooming horrible. Roll on Winter,
