I have really been enjoying Empire with the writer and broadcaster Anita Anand and historian William Dalrymple - one a Scot living in India and the other a third generation Indian living in Britain. They are clearly great mates and enjoy each other's company, and both have a great depth of knowledge of their subject. That took twenty 40-minute episodes, so they do go into stuff in some detail. I'm now on the Ottoman Empire, and it's fascinating. Anyway, it'll be where you normally get your podcasts, or you can use this link - though you may need to press "Show 10 more episodes" a few times until you get to the first one Enjoy! podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/empire/id1639561921

Jayne gets hers on Spotify, but she subscribes and I don't, which means I'd get loads of adverts all the way through, which would drive me doolally. I believe there's something called Global Player which also does the job, but I've never investigated it.
