I woke up on Thursday free of pain for the first time in 2 months. We were out of beer and drain cleaner so we had a run into St Affrique to stock up. We were out 9 hours and were shattered when we got back. Also called into the hospital to book an appointment for XRays on my back and shoulders.
Friday...
Finished unpacking the car and getting the wood I had on the car roof rack off. I feel I should be up to doing some work. Loads of meat to butcher and pack in the freezer. Water the garden, temps are up into the mid 30's at the moment. I should cut my hair and beard as I feel like an ancient Hippie. I always do it myself but have been unable to do so.
Frankfurter and Onion Baps for tea. Nice and simple as Chrissie has boxes of food to pack away and the meat to sort after I have finished butchering. Zooming in the evening and then watch the Rugby.
Saturday...
Water the garden, pick boxes of Tomato's for drying and chutney making. Spray weedkiller everywhere as the weeds have got out of hand on the road and the path at the side of the house. Have a bit of a tidy up around the garden. The garlic needs to go in soon and I have to prepare a bed for it so I may be up to doing a bit of de-weeding. A run to the dump after lunch then settle down to watch the Rugby all afternoon and evening.
Fish Pie for tea.
Sunday...
A walk up the back of the bar and check out the Sloe bushes. They should be ready for picking in a couple of weeks or so. Then a few hours of paperwork. Issues with the Banks, Pensions and the Tax people to sort out. I think I need a meeting with Pierre our advisor at the bank as its all getting too much for me to understand. I just keep looking at it and put it down again. I will probably shuffle a few papers around, get even more confused then give up and watch Rugby in the afternoon and evening. Or I could saw some wood up, then watch Rugby. That sounds preferable. Sod the paperwork.
Malaysian Curry and steamed rice for tea.
Have a good one everybody.
