Well, the end of November is upon us, and those of you with social lives will be filling your diaries with ways of enjoying yourselves that don't include sitting at home on a Friday night in front of a laptop.
So, a few questions that will need answers from as many of you as possible:
Do we go ahead with this week's end-of-November Zoom?
Or do we wait until the Christmas one?
And while we're talking about the Christmas one, when are we going to do that?
And are we going to do Secret Santa?
Answers which lead to positive decisions being made quickly, rather than answers which muddy the waters, would be greatly appreciated.

Well, to be honest we have always had the Christmas Zoom BEFORE Christmas, NOT on the last Friday in December. Therefore I would have expected it to be a case of suggesting 22nd December, and then finding that most of us were busy doing something that night and then spending a few days making alternative suggestions.  If people really want to do it AFTER Christmas, then there are plenty of dead days between 27th and 30th Dec, but that wouldn't be very festive as at least two of our members will have taken down their tree and decorations down by then.  So how about I suggest the 22nd Dec, and then you can regale me with details of the parties you're going to on that night? Or suggest an alternative?? |

We are in.....hopefully.
Between us we have 3 laptops and a desktop and they all have microphone or camera issues. The super duper ballistic laptop I usually use I dropped and bosted the lid. The screen and speakers still work but the camera and microphone are shot.
I use an old one permanently plugged into the TV which I have just had a play with and its all functioning.
So I have downloaded Zoom to it and all seems well.
Saturday 23rd is fine for us too.
